Two Virginia Premieres In Richmond

Henley Street Theatre presents the Richmond premiere of The Liar, adapted by David Ives from the comedy by Pierre Corneille. Winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play, The Liar features Dorante—a charming, handsome, pathological liar! The high jinks rope in a pair of lovely lasses, a gullible father, an earnest servant, a jealous courtier and, just to rev up the farce, identical twin maids! April 5 – April 28.

Stupid Kids, written by John C. Russell, will have its Virginia premiere on March 29 and run through April 21 at Richmond Triangle Players’ theater in Scott’s Addition.
In rapid, highly stylized, music-video-like scenes, Stupid Kids follows four students at Joe McCarthy High School as they make their way from first through eighth period and beyond, struggling with the fears, frustrations, and longings peculiar to youth.
