Grammy-Winning Los Texmaniacs Coming Soon to Northside Grille
08.2026
In an outdoor patio performance at 7 pm on August 28, Los Texmaniacs will bring their eclectic blend of conjunto, rock, blues, and country to Northside Grille. Special guests for this show include local Richmond-based musicians Ramona Martinez of Ramona & The Holy Smokes, and Paulo Franco of Los Hermanos Alacranes. Founded in 1997 by acclaimed bajo sexto player Max Baca, Los Texmaniacs have built an international reputation by taking the traditional sounds of South Texas conjunto music and transforming them utterly. Accordion and bajo sexto remain at the heart of the music, but the band brings rock ’n’ roll energy, blues, country, jazz and R&B into the mix, creating a sound that honors the roots of Tejano music while keeping it fresh, lively and unmistakably their own.Baca previously performed with the legendary Texas Tornados, and Los Texmaniacs have collaborated with an impressive roster of artists including Flaco Jiménez, Lyle Lovett, Rick Treviño, Little Joe Hernández and La Marisoul. The group earned a GRAMMY Award for their album Borders y Bailes, a recording that showcases the musicianship and cultural traditions that have made Los Texmaniacs one of the leading contemporary voices in conjunto music. For Richmond audiences, the August 28 appearance offers an opportunity to experience this nationally acclaimed band in the intimate setting of Northside Grille’s outdoor patio. Following the show, join the after-party indoors with Los Hermanos Alacranes. Tickets and additional event information are available through Northside Grille website: thenorthsidegrille.com
