34th Annual 43rd Street Festival of the Arts

08.2025

Richmond’s beloved neighborhood art show returns from 10am till 4pm on September 13, showcasing 75 juried regional artists and their original works from paintings, prints, pottery, sculpture, jewelry, glasswork, and more. This free, family-friendly festival held each year in Forest Hill offers something for everyone—live music, local food trucks, street art activities for kids, and a vibrant marketplace of original work.

The festival shines a spotlight on fine arts and crafts available in RVA, encouraging direct engagement and support of local artisans. With humble beginnings, it has grown to include both established and emerging creators, all chosen by juried selection. Many artists have participated since the festival’s inception, while fresh talent joins each year—ensuring a mix of tradition and novelty.

As a fundraiser for CARITAS, the festival supports their mission of providing shelter and restoring dignity to those experiencing homelessness in Richmond . Artists contribute raffle items, and the sale of artist-designed T-shirts draws in additional funds. Donations at the four festival entrances are encouraged. Over $100,000 has been raised to date to support community healing and transformation.
