The development includes a new Flying Squirrels baseball stadium that will be completed by the opening day of the 2025 season. The development plans also include retail spaces, a food court, a hotel, housing, and playgrounds.
Civilian Review Board
On September 27, the Public Safety committee met and considered ORD. 2022-261, the latest iteration of a paper to establish a Civilian Review Board with review authority over the Richmond Police Department. The committee voted to accept Ann Frances Lambert’s motion to amend the paper to include a five-year minimum residency requirement for board members and recommended approval. The paper will come back before Council later this Fall.
