In this dark and divisive era when cruelty and base and divisive era when cruelty and base bigotry seem the norm for some, art can illuminate the most stygian landscapes, and shine a bright light of compassion, love, and inclusion to shatter that darkness.

Which is exactly what The Branch Museum of Design, in conjunction with VCUart, will bring to our city on January 17 in the form of a phenomenal exhibit featuring two of the world’s most creative spirits—Christian Siriano and Ashley Longbore    

Designer Christian Siriano and artist Ashley Longshore believe fashion and art should welcome everyone. Their work encourages people to show up without apology.

Undeniable: The Designs of Christian Siriano + Ashley Longshore, which will run through March 22,  merges the talent of these two creative forces who share a belief that fashion and art should welcome everyone.

Expect a runway lined with Siriano looks worn by stars like Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Lizzo. The exhibition then shifts into a vivid gallery of Longshore’s bold paintings presented alongside a selection of Siriano designs for celebrities such as Billy Porter, Lady Gaga and Oprah.
