Farid Alan Schintzius

75th Birthday Celebration  of Farid Alan Schintzius

Even if you don’t know him, you’ve probably heard of him—Farid Alan Schintzius. He’s been a ubiquitous presence in Richmond for decades, a community activist and true progressive, and one of the founders of The Camel. Hell, he even ran for mayor of the City.

Come celebrate his three-quarters of a century here on Earth from 4 pm till 7 pm on April 24 at The Camel.

Alan wants no gifts. Instead, he urges everyone to donate to WRWK-93.9FM by visiting https://www.TheWorkFm.org

“I ask you today to honor my birthday to support this low power FM community radio station which continues the tradition of bringing people together to get sh## done,” Alan writes.

Live music at the event begins at 5:30 with Holy River, “a mystically political and wholeheartedly grassroots band playing earth folk music.”
