From February 22 through February 28 you can learn a lot more about our local ecosystems and actually help remove invasive species and re-introduce natives. Richmond Invasive Species Awareness Week will feature a series of engaging activities, including opportunities to participate in invasive plant removals, educational nature walks, a children’s story hour, a film screening, and much more. Local environmental organizations, ecologists, botanists, and community leaders will collaborate to provide insights into the identification, prevention, and management of invasive species. And to top it off join in the fun at the annual Boogie For The Biosphere party at the week’s end.
