Black History Month at Richmond Public Library

02.2026

The Richmond Public Library invites the community to celebrate Black History Month with programs, resources, and digital collections that honor Richmond’s rich Black history. Shaped by Black creativity, leadership, and resilience, the city’s story is deeply connected to the experiences of its Black residents, past and present.

The Ginter Park Branch, at 5 pm on February 25, will host an evening of poetry, music, and original work inspired by the legacy of Black artists and storytellers.
