Ginter Park Home And Garden Tours Return

05.2026

Ginter Park Home and Garden Tours resumed on April 26 with the first tour of its kind since 2017. The event sold out at 300 tickets. Longtime Ginter Park neighbor, Trevor Dickerson, provided event branding and visuals.

There were eight private properties showcased with diverse architecture and approaches to interior designs and garden styles. From several homes redesigned for young, active families to two homes with expansive additions to provide one-level living for seasoned couples, the homes featured were welcoming, colorful and creatively designed. Interiors were embellished with stunning floral designs, including a peacock fashioned of flowers that graced a dining room table created by Lillian Bennett.

Similarly, garden spaces were varied in design. A sculpted, manicured, evergreen all-season garden and one with sweeping borders of colorful perennials highlighted the gardens of Jenny and Brandon Ingram and Susan and Steve Hardemon.

The garden of Nancy Falcone and Mark Vasas included a beautifully crafted art studio and outdoor entertaining area, as well as a Boho-chic furnished deck with a honeysuckle-draped pergola and many whimsical elements. The garden of Laura and Denton Baker featured a greenhouse, raised vegetable gardens in stone planters, stone fountains, and a circular garden around a striking sculpture. Steve Welton’s garden showcased his 36 years of design and gardening work. Winding garden paths lined with trellises of clematis and a variety of perennials led to a private shade garden of hostas and ferns, and then out to the garden area centered around the pool.

The proceeds from ticket sales for Ginter in Bloom benefit the St. Thomas Food Pantry, Shalom Farms, and the Ginter Park Residents Association Beautification Fund. GPRA contributes to the Food Pantry Thanksgiving Day Dinner Basket initiative each year and donates to the Shalom Farms Northside general fund. The GPRA Beautification Fund helps us plant and care for 23 garden beds on Brook Road and  plant spring bulbs annually for a colorful show of narcissus and tulips.
