Annual James River Cleanup
Saturday September 12
The Annual James River Regional Cleanup is still happening! Although a different format this year, the self-directed cleanup is a regional event, spanning miles of the James River, from thirteen sites. Walkers, powerboats, paddle craft, and hikers are urged to participate. Must follow all CDC guidelines. Due to COVID-19 and limited capacity at each site, volunteers must register.
Select a site, complete registration, return liability form electronically upon registration which will be emailed to you. Please remember to practice social distancing, wear closed-toe shoes, bring face masks, gloves, trash bags, grabbers, water, insect repellent, sunscreen and snacks.
If you are unable to register due to capacity, we encourage volunteers to clean up in areas near their home or neighborhood streams the same weekend and share your photos. Send photos to info@jrac-va.org
