Bodies of Labor: Hands that Built a Nation

The Black History Museum & Cultural Center A will open Bodies of Labor: Hands that Built a Nation, on April 2. The exhibition will consist of works created by artists with connections to Virginia and their interpretation of Black labor. 

Shakia Gullette Warren, BHMVA Executive Director said, “African Americans have unequivocally been a major force in sustaining the economy of the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond.”
