Mackenzie Roark and the Hot Pants will be releasing their latest vinyl album titled “Ghost of Rock and Roll” on June 6 at Get Tight Lounge.

Mackenzie is a powerhouse of a songwriter and a performer. She possesses a voice perfectly tempered for her original songs that have deep roots in underground country, folk, and classic rock and roll. Mackenzie is a natural storyteller in the tradition of Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt, with just enough of a humorous edge and an ironic turn of phrase to give a whimsical nod to John Prine. 

Each of the nine tracks is perfectly produced with a band that is tight and seamless. They play together like old friends who know what the others are about to say before words are spoken. And Mackenzie’s songs will flood you with emotion days after you first heard them. Love and loss, passing regret, and ultimately, the acceptance of the mess we call reality.
