Brookland Park Fest Draws Huge Crowd

Hundreds, if not thousands, gathered along Brookland Park Boulevard, from Fendall to North, sampling food, visiting shops, viewing and purchasing art by some of the most creative talent around, and listening to some of the best music you’re likely hear anywhere.

The festival held November 9, highlighted the vast array of businesses that line this Northside boulevard. And the food and beverages offered by the restaurants will suit any palette from the barbecue at Smoky Mug to the shrimp po’boy at Shrimps, from the chicken adobo at Auntie Ning’s to a Northside sailor at Nomad’s deli. Top it off with a bowl of the best ice cream around from Ruby Scoops. And there are many other eateries to choose from.

There was music that touched the very soul from Mamie Lue, Andrew Alli and the Mainline, and Daniel White Sound. Plus: a lot of local artists sold their work there.
