Antique Village Celebrates 54 Years
10.2025
Antique Village in Hanover County opened Thanksgiving Day 1971. It was the inspiration of the late W. N. “”Billy” Fulwider. Patterned after the antique malls in Pennsylvania, Antique Village was the first multi-dealer antiques and collectibles mall in Central Virginia. It continues to lead the way—54 years later—under the ownership of Joan Rucker and Manager Joe Lipscombe.
October 25 and 26 Antique Village will celebrate its 54 rd Anniversary. There will be a one day out-door market and customer appreciation brunch on Saturday, along with contests, sales, door prizes and other activities. Free caricature sketches by artist Ted Sanderson from 11 am till 4 pm.
Consistently praised by travelers and locals as a mall with “true antiques and collectibles”, the Village and its 50 dealers are going all out for its anniversary weekend. The amazing variety of merchandise inside the mall will be enhanced by 20 visiting vendors on Saturday only.
All are most welcome! For details, see their display ad in this issue of NORTH of the JAMES. Or call 804-746-8914.
