The Branch’s Haunted Open House
10.2024
It was the perfect venue for a Halloween party. On October 11, just as the sun was setting and a half moon rising, The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design opened its doors to the public, and folks, many of whom were dressed in costume, wandered freely through the massive rooms on the second floor of this architectural marvel on Monument Avenue.
Scores of local artists and designers sold their wares and the Haunts of Richmond storytellers were on hand with tales of the grotesque and arabesque. There were tarot readings and libations and snacks, and it all culminated in a costume contest.
